TX-RX Isolation for Frequency-Division-Duplexed Phased-Array

Recent advances in silicon technology have made possible the realization of multi-antenna phased array radios which are low in cost and small in size. Phased arrays allow for electronic beam steering, and result in an N2 increase in the effective radiated power and an N increase in the receive area as compared to a single radiating element, which leads to a significant RF link improvement. The implementation of phased array systems which are Frequency-Division Duplexed (FDD) is not viable in current available methods, which require high-Q resonators that limit duplexer integration in ICs, due to their size, cost and complexity. This research focuses on the implementation of a combined solution for an FDD-phased array system which can be fully integrated on chip. * MSc seminar under supervision of Prof.  Emanuel Cohen.
