We are proud to announce that Tali Septon, an M.Sc. student from the Fiber- Optics communication group, was selected as the winner of the 2019 Corning Women in Optical Communication Scholarship. Tali will be recognized at the OFC conference awards ceremony in San-Diego where she will also present her work on narrow linewidth Quantum Dot lasers operating at 1550nm.
“It is a great honor to display our research and represent Technion at OFC this year. Narrow linewidth lasers are essential for a variety of applications, including sensing, coherent communication, frequency locking, and as a seed laser for LIDAR. Improving these lasers has broad impact on both scientific and commercial communities. I would like to thank Prof. Gadi Eisenstein, and Technion Electrical Engineering Graduate school for the remarkable encouragement, and acknowledge our partners at Kassel university, especially Ms. Annette Becker.”
OFC is the largest global conference and exhibition for optical communications and networking.
Congratulations!
